If you're finding that anxiety is your new unwelcome backseat driver showing up in traffic, giving you racing thoughts, burnout has you running on fumes instead of dreams, or old trauma wounds are suddenly throwing surprise parties when you least expect them. That's your unconscious sending you a very clear invitation to get some professional backup. It is time you have a skilled therapist in your corner helping you reclaim your peace and rediscover the badass resilience that got you this far.
I get it – you're resourceful and you've been handling things on your own for decades, but here's the difference: While social media gives you bite-sized tips and friends offer loving support, our work together provides you with a consistent, judgment-free space where we dig deep and build lasting strategies tailored specifically to your life. You deserve more than quick fixes and surface-level advice – you deserve genuine transformation that sticks, and that's exactly what we'll create together in our sessions.
Our quick consultation is like a preview trailer for therapy. We'll chat to see if we click and if I'm the right therapist to help you tackle whatever life is throwing your way. If I sense you'd be better served by a different approach or specialty, I'll happily connect you with at least two of my incredible colleagues who might be your perfect therapeutic match, because finding the right fit is everything in this work.
You can book a consultation directly on this site or email me at Contact@pvlmhc.com to request a consultation. Book a consultation immediately, peace and happiness are waiting for you!
I don't accept insurance directly because I believe your mental health deserves more than what insurance companies dictate—no session limits, no diagnosis requirements for coverage, and complete privacy without insurance interference in your treatment. Though I'll help you navigate reimbursement through Thizer so you can potentially get money back from your carrier while maintaining complete control over your care.
My weekly session fees are $280.00 for individuals, $480.00 for couples, and $680.00 for families.
Sessions are paid via Credit Card, Debit Card, HSA, or FSA—simple, secure, and no insurance hassles that could compromise your privacy or limit your treatment options.
While I don't deal with insurance directly, I'll give you weekly invoices and partner with Thizer to help you seek reimbursement from your carrier—getting you the best of both worlds.
My schedule works around your Gen X reality: optimizing both early morning tranquility and the late-night repose. Monday-Thursday 4am-11pm and Fridays 4am-2pm, with all sessions beginning on the hour.
Sessions are 60 minutes and start at the top of each hour. I require weekly attendance to build our therapeutic relationship and to help you create a habit of prioritizing your needs.
Clients are required to provide 4 days’ advance notice for session cancellations (e.g., for Thursday 2 pm sessions, cancel by Sunday 4 pm). Late cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full session fee.
Therapy happens through both words and presence—the subtle cues, expressions, and energy we share when we're truly together. I only offer video sessions because you deserve the full depth of connection that comes from seeing and being seen.
Virtual/Telehealth therapy works incredibly well for Gen X clients who need flexibility and privacy—you get the same quality therapeutic connection without the commute, parking hassles, or waiting room awkwardness.
Weekly sessions for the initial six months aren't negotiable because I know intermittent therapy doesn't work for our generation's complex issues—we need a consistent connection to build the therapeutic relationship that creates lasting change.
I'll guide you through sharing what's on your mind. We'll identify what is top of mind, and I'll give you a preview of how we can tackle whatever's keeping you up at night, all in a judgment-free zone where your story matters.
I encourage all my Gen X clients in therapy for Anxiety, Burnout, and Trauma to show up exactly as they are - comfortable clothes, messy hair, coffee mug in hand - because real healing happens when we drop the masks and get authentic. Privacy is crucial, though, so please find a quiet space where you won't be interrupted, allowing us to dive deep without worrying about who might overhear.
Absolutely! I embrace all the beautiful ways love and family show up – whether you're LGBTQ+, Questioning, or Hetero. If you're married, partnered, poly, chosen family, or any configuration that matters to you, we can work together to strengthen those bonds and navigate life's curveballs. However, my expertise shines brightest with adults and teens 16+, so if you need family therapy that includes younger kiddos, I'll connect you with one of my incredible colleagues who specializes in working with the under-16 crowd – because everyone deserves the perfect therapeutic match.
While Generation X is absolutely my specialty and sweet spot, I understand the unique sandwich generation pressures we face. I also work with Millennials navigating quarter-life crises and adulting anxiety; Baby Boomers embracing life transitions and retirement adjustments, and Gen Z clients (ages 16-24) dealing with identity exploration and early adulthood challenges when there's a strong therapeutic fit. Think of me as a generational translator who can vibe with your TikTok struggles, validate your existential quarter-life dread, or help you process empty nest feelings – because good therapy transcends birth years, even if my heart belongs to the generation that perfected the art of cynical optimism.
I speak your language because I get that 40s, 50s, and 60's anxiety isn't just worry – it's managing aging parents, teenagers, and career demands while society pretends we don't exist. Unlike therapists who treat everyone the same way, I tailor my trauma and burnout work specifically for a generation that learned to "suck it up and walk it off" but are finally ready to actually heal.
I'm all about supporting you through life's challenges, but when it comes to official letters for FMLA, gender reassignment surgery, custody matters, or therapy animals, I'm like that friend who knows their limits – I do not provide documentation of our sessions. Instead, I'll hook you up with the right professionals who live and breathe this documentation stuff, ensuring you get exactly what you need from people who know these processes inside and out.
